LA Galaxy vs. Wellington Phoenix Featuring David Beckham [ Clip size - 25.7MB ]
With the deal signed and guaranteed attendance by David Beckham himself all thoughts were turned to the actual organisation of this visit. Wellington City Council approached Chameleon to organise the arrivals and departures of the LA Galaxy Team through Wellington Airport.
No small task with over 80 bags to reach the hotel and an airport full of fans. Every bag had to be checked and assigned a room number before being loaded onto the trucks heading to the hotel. Meanwhile in the upper foyer of the airport a traditional greeting was held as The LA Galaxy and Mr Beckham were welcomed to the city.
The Wellington Phoenix Football Club also asked Chameleon Event Management to organise an after party to be remembered. With the use of an empty multi floor space the party was planned to precision. From the aerial acts, confetti cannons and the perfect service by Ruth Pretty Catering, it was certainly a wonderful night. Both football teams and a host of VIP’s joined the strictly controlled guest list.
